She never truly lived // Tobstar Daniello
She was born with a blank mind. Growing up, she loved kicking things, her dad noticed and got her a ball. She was just six. One day she saw guys playing football on the field. It was a free soccer game, she went there to join. She played a bit and a guy came in and said she wasn't good enough and afterall she's just a girl. As a fragile being, she went home and cried. That registered in her heart as she grew, she never set her legs on the field again
When she got into college, her friends complained about her walking style, her mode of dressing and her relationship status. It was 2035 and it's not socially balanced for a 16 year old to be a virgin, you'll look odd. Well, she was a reserved girl but she tried to fit in. So she got into a relationship despite she didn't want to, in fact her friends arranged the guy for her. She didn't really like him. She changed everything to fit in and please her friends and also the society.
When she was about to study philosophy in the university, her parents didn't allow it. They believed it's not a course that can really feed someone because the world is into entrepreneurship, technology and science. She put forth her argument about being a curious being, they rejected it. They said she either quit school or go for what they want for her. She had no choice but to fit in, she followed the decision of her parents.
After school, she brought home a guy and introduced him to her parents. The guy was looking good but they didn't love the ethnic group he came from and they said he wasn't wealthy enough to take care of her. She claimed she was really in love with him, they didn't care. She cried bitterly but well, she had no choice but to please her parents.
She searched for a rich guy from a different ethnic group. She got married and had kids. She worked in a big company and earned a good pay. She was successful but she wasn't happy. She wasn't happy with her job, she wasn't happy with her relationship, she wasn't happy with her life either. She felt her life has been taken away from her. She felt empty and sad anytime she look back at her past. The money wasn't enough.
When she was 75, she was diagnosed of a terrible disease. On her hospital bed, she wasn't sad because she was about to loose her life, she was sad because she never truly lived.
